Bardolino DOC Villa Merighi is a traditional Veronese wine, made from a blend of red grapes in punctual conformity with the European Protocol of Organic Viticulture and Wine-making. Our Bardolino DOC is a young and well-structured wine, suitable to match any typical Mediterranean meal. GRAPES: Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara, Negrara. PRODUCTION AREA: The vineyards that extend over the Morainic hills on the eastern shores of Garda Lake, in the tiny town of Sona. The area is the heart of the production of Custoza and Bardolino Protected Designation of Origin. YIELD PER HECTARE: 100 weights. GRAPE GROWING SYSTEM: Veronese pergola and guyot. HARVEST PERIOD: Last ten days of September, first ten days of October. WINE-MAKING PROCESS: The grapes are picked by hand and selected. The fermentation takes place at low temperature in order to catch the most delicate characteristics of the grapes. The maceration lasts 6/7 days. DESCRIPTION: Ruby red with violaceous reflexes. The hints are delicate and recall rose, violet and light notes of little red fruits. It closes with a spicy hint of pepper. In the mouth it presents itself with a gentle tannin, and a fruity explosion between freshness and sapidity. ANALYTICAL DATA: Alcool (% Vol): 12,5 SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18 °C. PAIRING: It’s a wine that can be paired with all the traditional Mediterranean courses. It matches perfectly with salami and few seasoned cheese.
